Mexico has not been hit so badly by the pandemic, says AMLO

“I don’t like comparisons, but in the concert of the nations affected by the pandemic, we have not been so hit, even though we have elements that affect us such as chronic diseases.

“But there are more deaths, according to the population, in the United States, Brazil, Chile, Peru, than in Mexico; and if we compare ourselves with Europe, there are more deceased than Spain and Italy ”.

However, the head of the Executive recognized that the chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity and hypertension have influenced the number of deaths.

In his press conference, in the Naval Zone of this city, President López Obrador reiterated his support and support for the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López-Gatell, and the group of experts who have had a responsible management of the pandemic; however, for “politicking” they have launched a campaign against López-Gatell.
