Messenger fraud attempt: 60-year-old does not fall for the wrong son – Bad Salzungen

Bad Salzungen – According to the police, the woman had a message via a messenger service on Sunday in which her supposed son wrote to her that she had accidentally washed his old cell phone in the washing machine. For this reason he could now be reached via a different number. He also wrote that he had to transfer an open bill of almost 2,000 euros. The woman found the whole thing suspicious, she called her real son on the number she knew and he was able to uncover the attempted fraud.
