Meschede: Girl (14) discovered in apartment of sex offender – Ruhr area

Meschede – Police officers have discovered a missing girl (14) in the apartment of a sex offender who is considered to be at risk of relapse in the Hochsauerlandkreis (North Rhine-Westphalia)!

After her mother reported missing persons to a guard in Herne on Thursday evening, investigations quickly led to the criminal (36), who chatted regularly with the girl.

Police found the 14-year-old in Mescheder’s apartment at around 5 a.m. on Friday morning. Apparently she drove to the suspect in Meschede, 100 kilometers away.

The rapid success of the search is due to the fact that the police were able to evaluate the teenager’s cell phone because it was still in the parents’ apartment. Video recordings allowed conclusions to be drawn about the man’s identity. Since he was on file with the police, the whereabouts could be determined quickly.

A police spokesman: “According to previous investigations, there were no crimes to the detriment of the young people during the night.” The uninjured girl was later picked up by her parents.

Liquor and drug paraphernalia

▶ ︎ A judge issued an arrest warrant against the 36-year-old, as reported by the police and the public prosecutor. There is a strong suspicion that the man sent the girl pornographic pictures. According to BILD information, it is said to have been nude photos that the sex offender had taken of himself. He sent the recordings to the girl a few weeks ago when she was 13. Therefore, there is an urgent suspicion of sexual abuse of children, said a spokesman for the public prosecutor.

The police found liquor and drug paraphernalia in the suspect’s apartment, but he is not allowed to have them. After his release, he was ordered not to consume alcohol or drugs.

According to BILD information, the man had been convicted of rape and was therefore imprisoned for over two years.

The man is a participant in the KURS program, which aims to prevent sex offenders from diving into anonymity and committing sexual offenses again after their release from prison.
