A cheerleader was shot in a movie theater, but no one heard the shot because of a horror movie

18-year-old Riley Goodrich and her 19-year-old friend, Tiktok star Anthony Barajas, went to a movie theater in California, USA just before midnight.

They decided to watch the horror film The Purge, in which authorities legalized all crimes, including murder. The friends did not suspect that the nightmare from the screen would be transferred to reality.

After the screening, the movie staff came in to clean up and found Riley and Anthony with gunshot wounds. The girl died on the spot, and the man was taken to hospital in serious condition and was connected to a life support device.

A total of six tickets for the screening were purchased, but no one heard the sounds of gunfire. No weapons were found at the crime scene. Soon, however, on suspicion of the horrific massacre, law enforcement officers detained 20-year-old Joseph Jimenez, writes The Sun.

During a search of Jimenez’s house, law enforcement officers found a gun that they believed the offender had used in the cinema. Evidence of his involvement in the incident was also found. However, it is not yet clear what motives the villain could be guided by.

Anthony Barajas has 940 thousand subscribers in Tiktok and almost 45 thousand in Instagram, where a few days ago he published the last post about a vacation with his family. Riley Goodrich was a cheerleader, played volleyball and received a scholarship from the University of the Grand Canyon.
