The likelihood of precipitation will increase as the month progresses, Stoycheva predicts

Anastasia Stoycheva predicts an increase in the likelihood of precipitation at the beginning of the second decade of the month:
“No problem with that lowering of temperatures from now on – we will most likely enter more wintery synoptic processes”.

It is very probable that in the upper part of the mountains the snow will reach 70 – 80 cm, as we expect consistent rainfall. After this situation, at the beginning of the second decade, the conditions for precipitation are maintained. In most cases, in the flat part, it will be rain, but with the cold there will be snowfall even in the mountains. Skiers will be able to practice any sport”.
We do not expect abnormal colds, Anastasia Stoycheva was categorical. According to her, we will move along the edge of normal temperatures for January. For Sofia, the average daily temperature for this part of January is around 0 degrees, and is now 4-7 degrees above the climatic norm.
According to her, we are not moving towards a tropical climate. We have a more pronounced trend towards periods of drought and periods of heavier rainfall, she pointed out.
Stoycheva also noted that we must be careful in how we work with nature. This massive deforestation and urbanization can’t help but affect the climate, he stressed. However, according to her, this shouldn’t be confused with the climate:
“Climate change does not happen so quickly. Nature itself regulates the processes so that fauna, flora and people can adapt to the new or slightly different climate. /…/ We should not think that we have no influence on it , but with elementary actions we can help the nature around us to feel so as not to feel its sudden changes. It is good to notice all the changes around us without bringing additional pressure and turmoil on one’s thoughts about how to take care of nature” .
