A man tried to enter the building The New York Times in Manhattan brandishing a knife and asking to speak to “the political section,” he informed the New York Post Police.
With “a knife in one hand and a stuffed animal in the other,” the man entered the tabloid’s headquarters on Manhattan’s Eighth Avenue, an NYPD spokesman said.
According to police, the man also had an axe.
However, there was no “fight” as the man handed over the knife to building security.
Following the incident, the man was taken to hospital for tests.
