The government is showing helplessness regarding the crises, said the leader of “Stand Up. BG”

“We are in good communication with Stefan Yanev’s team. But there will be other people with the social alternative. Naturally, we will cooperate and work together, because we are looking in the same direction.” This is what the leader of “Stand Up. BG” and former MP Maya Manolova said in the program “The day begins with Georgi Lyubenov” on BNT regarding the future political project of the former caretaker Prime Minister and Minister of War Stefan Yanev.

“The results of these arrests practically start the resuscitation of GERB. They allowed GERB to counterattack. I do not know what they expected from the Interior Ministry and the government,” she said. in connection with the detention of the former Boyko Borisov, Vladislav Goranov and Sevdalina Arnaudova last Thursday.

“Unfortunately, the government is showing helplessness in the face of the crises that are literally flooding Bulgarian citizens. Absence of real problems of the people – the government has strayed from the agenda of Bulgarian society,” Manolova explained.

She added that if the request for detention is not backed up with serious evidence in the coming days, it will call into question the actions of the Interior Ministry and the government and their ability to effectively fight corruption.

“They also lost the information war badly. If they had new and indisputable evidence, they had to find a way to inform the public,” Manolova added.

Regarding the 100 days of the cabinet, she said the assessment was not optimistic.

“The government has shown helplessness in the crisis. 100 days after the start of this government, they have unreasonably slowed down the pace of judicial reform. This seems to be the coalition’s stumbling block,” the leader of “Stand Up.BG” added. And he described the cabinet’s social policy as a failure.
