The government decided to extend PPKM level 4. A number of assistance for the community is also prepared by the government.

Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that the provision of this new social assistance for people in cities/districts implemented by PPKM level 4. Airlangga said the first aid was for the government to add food card assistance by Rp. 200 thousand for 2 months and the recipients were 18.8 million beneficiary families. .

The government extended cash social assistance for 2 months, namely May and June. This assistance will be distributed in July amounting to Rp 6.14 trillion to 10 million beneficiary families.

“Then continue the internet quota subsidy for 5 months from August to December, this is for 38.1 million recipients, the amount is Rp. 5.54 trillion,” he said.

The government also continued electricity discounts for 3 months from October to December of Rp 1.91 trillion for 32.6 million customers. Not only that, the government also continues to provide assistance for a minimum abdominal fee account for 3 months, from October to December for 1.14 million customers, amounting to Rp 420 billion.

“And an additional Rp 10 trillion for the pre-employment card where this will be used for wage subsidy assistance and wage subsidy assistance, this is Rp 8.8 trillion and the remaining Rp 1.2 trillion will be given to the pre-employment card,” he said.

“This wage subsidy assistance is given to workers who get registered with BPJS Employment and this is for level 3 and level 4 to be given this assistance 2xRp600 thousand,” he added.

Furthermore, 10 kilos of rice assistance for 28.8 million beneficiary families was also continued. In the first phase, it will be distributed to 20 million beneficiaries and the second phase to 8.8 million beneficiary families.

“Then there is also UMK assistance, namely productive assistance for micro businesses or the presidential ban in the amount of 3 million which will be distributed in the second quarter and this is IDR 1.2 million each and this is IDR 1.5 million for assistance for stalls and street vendors and The government also provides assistance for stalls and street vendors with the same scheme as BPUM, namely for 1 million recipients with 1.2 million assistance and this is distributed through the TNI and Polri so that this is expected to provide assistance to the community in cash, especially in level 4 areas,” he said.

Finally, assistance is also provided to the business world in the form of shop rentals in shopping centers or malls which are given fiscal incentives in the form of value added taxes borne by the government. This assistance is valid for the tax period from June to August 2021.

“This is in the process. Then it will also be given to some affected, including transportation and tourism, which are currently being finalized,” he said.
