Marvel Studios no longer immediately assumes that its films can be shown in the cinema early in 2021. The release of movies like Black Widow, Eternals and also Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been postponed considerably.Marvel Studios has shaken up its 2021 releases a lot. That now means that the films will be released on these dates:
Black Widow: 7 May 2021
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: 9 July 2021
Eternals: 5 november 2021
With that Black Widow in Eternals both moved forward a full year.
What about the rest?
At the moment, it doesn’t seem like this will have a major impact on other Marvel movies scheduled for 2022. They will probably just come out as planned, if corona allows it. It may also be that those films will eventually be postponed, if Marvel Studios does not feel that it can convert enough in the cinemas.
Regardless, at least a little bit of Marvel Studios material will be released in theaters this year. We get the series WandaVision appears to be the case in November. The series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been postponed to 2021.
