Roger Chudeau is all smiles. “I have just brought a coffee machine from my constituency”, exclaims the parliamentarian, before entering his office. A room with a view of the Seine, which he recently rented, the Concorde obelisk in the background. At 73, this “post-war child” as he defines himself, is a very young MP. Elected in June in the second constituency of Loir-et-Cher under the colors of the RN, this former senior official of National Education was until then more accustomed to the discretion of ministerial cabinets and the hums of the administration than to the noisy shouting matches and the caffeinated nights of the National Assembly. Except for a municipal election, lost, and participation in the presidential campaign of François Fillon, in 2017, this aggregate of German is a novice in politics.
