This means that the Frenchman is accused of a total of six cases of rape and one case of sexual abuse. Four women accuse the football player of the abuse that is said to have taken place in Mendy’s home on various occasions during a period of time that extends from last autumn until August this year.
The 27-year-old was arrested in late August and The Premier League club then shut him down during the investigation.
On Wednesday, Mendy will appear in court in Stockport.
