“Mañanera” reporters join

After the massive marches carried out on Sunday in Mexico City and in various parts of the country for International Women’s Day, reporters and photojournalists who daily attend the National Palace to cover the morning conferences of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, decided not to attend today monday and with this join the national women’s strike, which is performed for the first time in Mexico.

With empty chairs inside the Treasury Hall of the historic precinct, the absence of journalists is notable, who, since the call was launched, agreed not to work that Monday as a protest against femicide and the high rate of violence registered against Women in the country.
