Man shoots at police at arrest in Paterswolde in Drenthe NOW

A man shot police officers on the night from Thursday to Friday in Paterswolde, Drenthe, after police reacted to an incident in the relational sphere. The Drenthe police report that Friday morning.

The incident took place in a house on the Hajo Hindriksweg in Paterswolde. As far as is known, there were no injuries. When officers arrived on the scene, they were shot several times by the suspect. The police shot back. No one was injured.

The man fled away and was later found after a search with several units in a nearby garden. In the area, the police found a firearm that was seized.

The alleged victim was also arrested and taken to the police station, following the firearm found.

Agents are still doing trace research in the Hayo Hindriksweg.
