A man, whose age was not possible to ascertain, was left without a finger on the beach of Barreirinha.
According to the DIÁRIO found out from the Captain of the Port of Funchal, the individual tried to jump the fence from Praia da Barreirinha to Praia de São Tiago, but had his finger amputated, allegedly because he had attached the ring to the fence.
Front MarFunchal officials found the finger in the morning when they entered the service and alerted the authorities who took care of the occurrence.
Guerreiro Cardoso explained that the Maritime Police traveled to the site together with the Judicial Police and that the finger was later handed over at the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital where the man had entered.
