For 1.52 million euros, the Latvian Riflemen’s Square will be improved

The construction company SIA “Skonto būve” will build the Latvian Riflemen’s Square in Riga, near the Occupation Museum, for 1.52 million euros, according to information on the website of the Procurement Monitoring Bureau.

SJSC Valsts nekustamie īpašumi (VNĪ) had announced a procurement for the works for the improvement of the Latvian Riflemen’s Square and the creation of an environmental facility, including design and construction works.

The winner of the procurement is the construction contractor “Skonto būve”, which will perform the mentioned works for 1,527,771 euros.

The arrangement of the Latvian Riflemen’s Square is one of the three cultural heritage sites, for the arrangement of which the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) co-financing will be directed.

Last year, Skonto būve had a turnover of 41.097 million euros, which is 12.7% less than in 2018, while the company’s profit decreased 16 times and was 61,617 euros.

The owners of Skonto būves are SIA Skonto Construction (95%) and SIA M investīciju fonds (5%). The real beneficiary of “Skonto būve” is Rihards Rāvis.
