Man injured after shooting Arnhem, suspect arrested | Inland

The police came to the scene en masse, are still looking for witnesses and will interrogate the suspect and carry out a trace investigation. Witnesses would have heard at least two shots, local media report, after which panic broke out in the street. The area was temporarily closed.

Steenstraat is not far from the center in the city of Gelderland, near Arnhem Velperpoort station. The area has been cordoned off. The police say they will come up with more information at a later time. The identities of suspect and victim have not been disclosed.

It is not known what triggered the shooting. The weapon has been confiscated.
