Man in Central Mamuju Hires Hitmen to Kill Wife for Property Control

A man with the initials Z (45) in Central Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi (Sulbar), became the mastermind murder his wife, Jumiati (38), wanted to control the victim’s property. Z hired two men to kill his wife for money and cows.

“So the victim’s husband gave money to two people who killed his wife,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Central Mamuju Police Iptu Fredy, reported detikSulselTuesday (2/5/2023).

Fredy said the two people Z paid were his nephew with the initial TA and his third wife’s sister-in-law with the initial S. The two perpetrators were rewarded with Rp. 2 million and promised one cow each.

“TA (got) Rp. 1.5 million and Rp. 500,000 for Suspect S to kill his wife. Apart from that, he was also promised to be given 1 cow when he finished killing the victim,” he explained.

The two perpetrators then followed the victim during the night of the incident. When the victim was on the side of the road in the dark and quiet, the two perpetrators then stopped the motorbike the victim was driving.

“Then it was TA who stabbed the victim with a dagger,” said Fredy.

The two perpetrators then left the victim covered in blood at the location. The victim was found by local residents who initially thought Jumiati was an accident victim.

“The perpetrator fled immediately after the incident,” he explained.

For your information, Jumiati was found dead with five stabs from a sharp weapon. The murder occurred in Sukamaju Village, Karossa District, Tuesday (25/4) at around 22.30 WITA

The Perpetrators Want to Control the Victim’s Property

Fredy said the perpetrator Z was a man who had three wives. The victim Jumiati is the perpetrator’s first wife.

According to him, Z had the heart to kill the victim because he wanted to control his wife’s assets in the form of oil palm plantations and cattle farms.

“About property, he (the perpetrator planning the murder) wants to control his (victim) property,” said Inspector Fredy.

“His (his wife’s) property is a cattle farm and oil palm plantation,” he explained
