In the summer of 2020, the suspect told the police unit guarding the Capitol in Washington that he would “pick up weapons” to deal with Trump if he lost the 2020 election but did not recognize it.
In January of last year, the suspect is said to have left two voicemail messages to the Secret Service in which he threatened Trump and 12 MPs. “Yes, this is a threat,” he said, according to the indictment that went public on Monday. „I will do everything to [Trump] and his twelve monkeys.”
The man has been released on bail but must wear an ankle bracelet while awaiting his criminal trial.
