In Pointe-à-Pitre it is the list of Harry Durimel who will compose the new municipal majority. He is more than two points ahead of the list of former mayor Jacques Bangou and is now called to become mayor of Pointe-à-Pitre
The stakes were high. It was a question of knowing if the Pointois were going to opt for a radical change of governance at the head of the town hall of their city or if they agreed to give a discharge to the rejuvenation and to the new profile of their former mayor. And it was the desire for change that motivated the vote of the majority of voters. The team led by Harry Durimel and Tania Galvani won the election, relegating in second and third position Jacques Bangou and Loïc Martol.
In the 1st round, the former councilor came out ahead of his opponents with 30.58% ahead of Harry Durimel 20.50%, Tania Galvani 16.14%, Loïc Martol 15.14% and Marie-Eugène Trobo Thomaseau 10.60 %. In the second round, Tania Galvani had chosen to make an alliance with Harry Durimel and Marie-Eugène Trobo Thomaseau with Loïc Martol.
Results of the 2nd round:
Registered 11,493. Voters 5,486 (47.73%) Expressed 5,259 (95.86%): Harry Durimel: 2,245 (42.69%), Jacques Bangou 2,110 (40.12%), Loïc Martol 904 (17.19%)
