NEW JERSEY – Passaic County authorities arrested a man for allegedly distributing illegal material related to child sexual abuse.
According to a report by Sheriff Richard Berdnik of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office in New Jersey, detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received information about a suspect distributing multiple images of child sexual abuse over the Internet. .
In the course of the investigation, detectives discovered additional images of child sexual abuse distributed through an email account belonging to James K. Delillo Jr. of Clifton. Following this, detectives arrested Delillo on February 4 for allegedly distributing the illegal material. Detectives confiscated electronic devices related to the investigation at the defendant’s home.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office assisted with the arrest.
The defendant received 3 counts of having child pornography in the second degree, 3 counts of distribution of child pornography in the second degree, and 3 counts of possession of child pornography in the third degree.
Delillo was booked into the Passaic County Jail and it has not been released when his hearing will be.
