Lost in iOS 13, ‘Magnifying Glass’ Returns in iOS 15

Jakarta

iOS 15 apparently brings a lot of new features, it’s just that not all of them are revealed by Apple in the event WWDC 2021. One of them is the presence of a magnifying glass, what is it?

The magnifying glass is actually not a completely new feature. Its existence had become the hallmark of iOS, unfortunately by Apple it was removed when it released it iOS 13.

The presence of this magnifying glass helps users see each word clearly when the finger moves the text cursor. With the presence of this feature in iOS 15, it will be very helpful.

But those of you who have previously used it will see the difference in appearance. In the past, this magnifying glass was round, now it has a shape like a small capsule, so the highlighted words are more precise and fit.

There’s one more thing that Apple returned to iOS 15, namely how to input numbers in alarm settings and others. So when iOS 14 was released, the Cupertino tech giant brought a new way of setting numbers to nature.

The user has to type a number from the keyboard to make a time setting. This method feels less comfortable and intuitive.

Maybe Apple heard the complaints, so they brought back the rolling numbers that were previously present in iOS 13 or earlier. So to enter a number on an alarm on iOS, just scroll up or down the number.
