Great concern has been caused by a report in a Mexican newspaper, according to which members of the Mexican cartel “Los Chapitos” have been “present” in Greece and Austria.
Their main goal, as stated, is to find armaments that cannot be obtained in Mexico, as this particular armament is only used by the country’s Armed Forces and the military. They even commemorate an event that had not been made public when it happened. Specifically, on March 18, 2023, a member of this cartel was arrested in Greece at the airport “El. Venizelos”, as he was returning from Austria.
The procedures for his extradition to America have already begun, as the police editor of Vima and Neos, Vassilis Lambropoulos, told Live News.

“Los Chapitos,” as the sons of Joaquin El Chapo Guzmán are known, managed to revive their father’s empire by importing huge amounts of fentanyl into America.
In April 2023, his sons faced serious charges, with the indictment stating that hitmen working for El Chapo’s sons killed government officials, tortured opponents with electric shocks and “fed some of their victims, dead and alive, to tigers”.
