The evening of Sunday, December 6, 2021 was agitated for the residents of the rue de la République in Lunéville (Meurthe-et-Moselle), south of Nancy. A man, very alcoholic, was making a noise at night which alerted a neighbor.
Punching and stabbing
It was the latter who called on the 17th shortly before 8:20 p.m., when the national police intervened in this street in the city center. The police tried to enter this individual’s home with difficulty.
He ended up opening his door. The police observed a very alcoholic and violent man. According to a police source, he punched a piece of furniture injuring his hand. The tenant then stabbed himself twice, injuring himself superficially.
Under observation in hospital
The arrest was difficult, according to a police source which indicates that the drunken man was taken care of by the firefighters and taken to the emergency room of the Lunéville hospital.
After analyzes at the hospital, it turned out that he had 7.14 grams of alcohol in his blood. The individual is under observation at the hospital.
In Meurthe-et-Moselle, the police claim to have never found such a blood alcohol level. In 2013, a man had been hospitalized in the emergency room in Avignon with a rate of 11 grams. In 2018, it was about a man who went to work with 4.57 grams in Brittany. In August 2018, it was a man who had partied at the Feria de Béziers and who had 7 grams of alcohol in the blood.
