Al-Marsad Newspaper: The director of the National Cancer Center at the Saudi Health Council, Dr. Mushabab Al-Asiri, explained that processed meat is a leading and definite cause of cancer.

He said in an interview with the Rotana Khaleejia channel that scientists concluded in 2015 that red meat is a possible cause of cancer.

He continued, as studies concluded that processed meat is a leading and definite cause of cancer.

He pointed out that the relationship between food and cancer is a thorny issue, because food starts with the seeds, then the soil, the pesticides, as well as the type and age of the animal, and which drugs, hormones or formulations change the chemicals in meat and then processing.
