Lithuanian authorities call on the EU to introduce additional bans on exports to the Russian Federation as part of the 12th package of sanctions.

Vilnius wants to ban the supply of central heating radiators with non-electric heating, as well as “nails and buttons” to Moscow.

At the same time, one of the European diplomats said that Brussels wants to “believe in fairy tales that its existing sanctions regime is harming Russia.”

Previously, official Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that it is capable of withstanding Western pressure through sanctions, which for the most part are said to be ineffective.
