Lithuania begins construction of a four-meter-high fence on the border with Belarus / Article

The fence itself is being manufactured in Poland and the Netherlands, and the first 100 kilometers of the fence will be delivered to the border by the end of the year, but the installation of the section will be completed by April, the company said.

Lithuania plans to build in general 400 kilometers long fence on the border with Belarus, which is accused of organizing the flow of migrants.

CONTEXT:

In the summer of 2021 the number of migrants increased significantly, which is trying to enter the territory of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland from Belarus. Most migrants have come from Iraq.
