Literature: Joël Dicker returns to business – Culture

Joël Dicker announced on his Facebook account the publication of his new novel “The Enigma of Room 622”.

Joël Dicker, author of “The truth about Harry Québert”, “The book of Baltimore” and “The disappearance of Stéphanie Mailer”, announced on his Facebook account on January 23 in the evening the publication of his new novel, “L ‘ Enigma of room 622 ”. De Fallois will publish it on March 17 in Switzerland and March 25 in France. Many signing sessions will follow in Geneva (March 17 and 19), Romont and Friborg (March 18), Payerne (March 20), Nyon and Lausanne (March 21), before Paris etc.

For this new novel, the writer returns to the country and leaves the United States for the Swiss Alps in the heart of the Palace of Verbier during one night in December. The police investigation will never be completed. When years later, in 2018, a writer stays in this Palace for the holidays, he finds himself linked to this affair, against the backdrop of a love triangle, power games, low blows, betrayals and jealousies in a Switzerland that is not really quiet.
 
The author’s latest novel, “The disappearance of Stéphanie Mailer” (2018), has sold more than 700,000 copies, in all formats (source GFK). “The truth about Harry Québert”, Grand Prize for the novel of the French Academy and Goncourt Prize for high school students, sold in large format and in pocket at 1,900,000 copies, and was adapted last year into a television series by Jean -Jacques Annaud. “The Baltimore Book” has sold nearly 900,000 copies.
