We are talking about officials, because the Cabinet of Ministers on the eve banned all officials from traveling abroad without good reason.
According to the new government decree, leaving for border now banned for women who are civil servants or councilors at all levels. Crossing the border for them is possible only on the basis of documents on business trips.
This is stated in resolution Cabinet, adopted on January 27.
Note that earlier travel abroad was prohibited for men of military age and women in the military. And now the ban has been extended to certain categories of civilian women.
It should be noted that male deputies of local self-government bodies already did not have the right to leave as persons liable for military service.
List of positions for which both men and women must obtain permission to cross the border:
- members of the Cabinet of Ministers, first deputies and deputy ministers, state secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers, his first deputy and deputies, state secretaries of ministries,
- heads of central executive bodies, their first deputies and deputies,
- Head of the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada, his first deputy and deputies, people’s deputies, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for human rights and his representatives,
- Head of the Office of the President and his deputies, heads of other subsidiary bodies and services formed by the President and their deputies,
- head of the SBU, his first deputy and deputies,
- chairman and members of the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting, chairman and members of the Accounting Chamber, chairman and members of the CEC, chairmen and members of other state collegial bodies,
- Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, his first deputy and deputies,
- the head of the National Bank, his first deputy and deputies,
- permanent representative of the President in Crimea and his deputies, heads of local state administrations, their first deputies and deputies,
- judges of the Constitutional Court, judges, prosecutors, heads of other state bodies and their deputies,
- deputies of local councils, as well as heads of structural divisions of state bodies and local self-government bodies and employees booked for the period of mobilization and wartime by state authorities, heads of state enterprises and their deputies.
notice, that 15 thousand women are deputies of local councils. Of these, more than 9 thousand are deputies of village councils. They are also prohibited from traveling abroad, unless it is a business trip.
Exceptions in which travel outside the country is allowed:
- single parents to visit children abroad;
- for treatment abroad;
- on the basis of a separate decision of the head of the State Border Guard Service, in the event of the death of family members abroad.
Recall, on January 27, the government adopted a resolution that for the duration of martial law prohibits officials from traveling abroad without good reason. You can only cross the border on a business trip. Commenting on this decision of the government, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal said: “It is possible to go abroad for negotiations, for treatment, to care for minor children. Going on vacation is not.”
