The police received a report about a lion in the southwestern district of Dahlem. It came from a concerned man who thought it was a real lion, the police in the German capital reported.
Officers went straight to it and soon discovered that the big cat was not real. The stuffed animal was lying on an electrical box in a fenced part of a park. “This time there is no doubt: this is not a wild boar,” the police write Xformerly Twitter, with a photo of the huge toy critter.
Two weeks ago, a major search was launched in Berlin and the state of Brandenburg after a report about a lioness on the loose. The animal was captured on video.
Although some people were convinced that it was a lioness, there were also doubts. After about a day and a half, the search was stopped with the announcement that it was probably a boar. Research into excrement, among other things, confirmed this.
