Sensed his successor: Walter Kehl (83) warned of Ernst M. in 2012 and made his own calculations.

His conclusion: Ernst M. could have defrauded the municipality of Balgach by CHF 200,000 for the beverage and snack machines alone.

In order to cover his tracks, Ernst M. quickly submerged the indoor pool computer in his office in the swimming pool in October 2014.

Of all burglars, Ernst M. * (52) does the job: For years, presumably from 2003 to 2014, the then lifeguard at the indoor swimming pool in Balgach SG chopped off large sums of money for himself. It should be a six-figure amount!
–
Because when M. came to work on October 1, 2014, he found signs of burglary. And panics because he has to summon the police and they might come across his scams. Therefore, the Rhine Valley quickly sinks the office PC of the indoor pool and accessories into the swimming pool.

Police see through thieving lifeguards
His vain hope: If he puts the sinking in the shoes of the burglars, the police may not look closely at the corpus delicti. There were probably telltale files on the computer, which would have proven that Ernst M. made use of the pool revenue.
–
What exactly did it do is still a mystery today, over five years later. Because: He is now sentenced to a conditional fine of 80 daily rates of 130 Swiss Francs for just misleading the administration of justice. For the wrong trick against the police, M. has to pay CHF 1,000 fine and CHF 300 in fees.

The long-released lifeguard has settled out of court with the cheated community of Balgach. As a result, the criminal proceedings were withdrawn, which is why large parts of the criminal proceedings were dropped.
–
“The former employee undertook to reimburse a notable part of the maximum damage incurred and has already paid a large installment,” according to a media release.
–
The amount of the offense should not be made public
Through the comparison, it was possible to avoid major expenses that would have been necessary to determine the exact damage, it is said. The community has been trying to keep the level of effectiveness under cover for years. First with reference to the ongoing proceedings, now with a contractually agreed not to disclose.
–
Walter Kehl (83), on the other hand, speaks plainly: “According to my calculations, he snuck 200,000 francs from the vending machines for snacks and drinks alone!” The pensioner is Ernst M.’s direct predecessor in the indoor pool. “I took the figures from the community’s annual booklet and compared them.”
–
At the beginning of 2012, Kehl announced his bad suspicions at the community meeting. The municipality appoints an external auditor to the matter, who apparently does not look closely.
–
Did the church look away?
“There are no indications of irregularities or misconduct by the staff,” says the test report. A mockery for ex-Badmeister: «He could do and do what he wanted. And now the community is trying to just wipe it under the table! »

Ernst M. did not want to comment on the agreed not to disclose to VIEW. His lawyer said that he would accept the as yet unlawful sentence.
