Liberty Island has become the world leader in the number of people cured of COVID-19, said Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez. A high-ranking diplomat wrote about this on Tuesday, March 23rd, on his page in Twitter.
“Cuba has recovered 94.4 percent of COVID-19 patients – the highest rate in the world,” Rodriguez said.
According to the latest data from the local Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the pandemic, 68,250 people have been infected with coronavirus on the island, while 401 deaths have been recorded.
Besides. he said that trials of two out of five vaccine preparations are coming to an end in the country.
“Our country relies on the pharmaceutical industry, human resources and the system of public administration to counter the pandemic at this stage,” added the head of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
