American rapper Lexii Alijai died on New Year’s Day at the age of only 21. Now the cause of death has been announced.
All of a sudden, “Grind With Me” interpreter Lexii Alijai died on January 1st in her hometown Saint Paul in the State of Minnesota, A deadly mixture of painkillers and alcohol has now been announced as the cause of death.
She was the hope of the US rap scene: Lexii Alijai from Saint Paul, one of the “Twin Cities” in the midwestern United States. The shock was correspondingly great when the 21-year-old died unexpectedly on New Year’s Day.
Lexii Alijai: Deadly mix of pain relievers and alcohol
The assumption that the artist had committed suicide has now been invalidated. A medical examination revealed according to the online portal of “Billboard”that fentanyl and ethanol poisoning led to Alijai’s death.
Fentanyl is a powerful pain reliever that can cause cardiac arrest if overdosed. The musician apparently took the drug with too much alcohol, so her death is classified as an accident.
The young artist, whose real name is Lexii Alijai Lynch, gained fame, especially with her 2017 debut album “Growing Pains”, for which she wrote her own lyrics about beats by well-known hip-hop icons like Tupac Shakur (1971 to 1996). Since then she has also been heard with Kehlani on their song “Jealous”. (WAG)
