Singer Grigory Leps underwent surgery on the vocal cords in a clinic in Paris. For the musician, this is the third surgical intervention in the last year.
Honored Artist of Russia Grigory Leps performed a vocal cord operation under general anesthesia in a hospital in Paris. In the spring and summer of last year, the 57-year-old musician already resorted to such surgical interventions, reports “StarHit”. After medical procedures, Leps, along with his wife Anna, went to restore strength in the Italian resort of Forte dei Marmi. The musician posted on Instagram photos from Florence and Pisa.
Last year, the artist explained the need for operations on the vocal cords by forced measures. According to him, age and frantic rhythm of work negatively affect vocal abilities.
“I can’t deceive the biological clock and sing like I sang 20 years ago. The body is aging, the ligaments are aging, the forces are not the same, ”said Leps.

In the summer, the artist returned to work ten days after surgery, giving a big recital in Moscow. Already on February 11, Leps plans to leave with a performance in Rostov-on-Don.
Despite the busy schedule and constant rehearsals, the singer repeatedly admitted that he loves his work very much – especially if the voice apparatus functions “at the highest level”. The musician named Crimea as the best place for a long rest, noting its stunning nature. At the same time, Leps emphasized that he does not leave vocals even on vacation.
“There are excellent conditions for restoration – mountain air mixes with sea air. Many walking trails, which is good for the heart muscle, and for the pulmonary apparatus. I would certainly take a vocal teacher with me. But I would leave the phone at home, ”the artist shared.

A few years ago, Leps was going to end his musical career because of the large number of “young talented guys”, so as not to overshadow them on the Russian stage.
“In a sense, I probably interfere with my intense schedule of performances: in a difficult year there are about 170 full-fledged concerts, in a weaker year – 120-130. In fact, in a year I am busy every other day. There are a couple of weeks when I can leave somewhere, but very rarely, ”the artist said last fall. “But I really was going to retire.”

He also spoke about attempts to build his own business, which could bring about the same income as the speeches. However, according to Leps, the businessman from him turned out to be “not very good.” His wife Anna is engaged in the jewelry business, and the musician himself tried to start the production of glasses and alcohol. Leps also has its own production center, one of whose representatives is Alexander Panayotov.
“He is a brilliant singer and a wonderful person. “I will ask Channel One to be sent to Eurovision,” Leps said six months ago.

In early February, composer Igor Krutoy said that it was Panayotov who had the “greatest chance” of attending a vocal competition from Russia.
“Ninety percent, I think,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

PR director Panayotova did not comment on the words of the composer, because the final decision on the choice of the Russian participant of Eurovision will be made only by the end of February.
