Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon laptop gets 14″ OLED screen and 1kg weight – Computer – News

Lenovo introduces two Yoga Slim 7 laptops with AMD Ryzen 5000U processors. The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon is a lightweight 14″ model with an OLED screen and the Yoga Slim 7 Pro comes in a 16″ version, optionally with a 120Hz panel.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon contains up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U processor and a GeForce MX450 video card. The memory consists of up to 16GB Lpddr4x in dual-channel configuration and there is up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage in the laptop. According to Lenovo, the lightest version weighs 1 kg and the laptop is 15 mm thick.

The 14″ screen consists of an OLED panel with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The maximum brightness is 400cd/m² and the screen can fully display the DCI-P3 color space. Optionally, the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon is available with touch screen.

The Windows laptop will receive a 61Wh battery and, according to Lenovo, that would be good for 14.5 hours of use. There is support for Wi-Fi 6 and there are three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with Type-C connection on the housing. Two of the ports support charging and are suitable for connecting displays via the DisplayPort 1.4 standard.

In the United States, the Yoga Slim 7 Carbon will be released in October for a starting price of $1,290. Converted with VAT, that is about 1318 euros. The About availability in the Netherlands and Belgium, Lenovo has not yet given any details.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro 16″

Lenovo is also introducing a 16″ version of the Yoga Slim 7 Pro with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and RTX 3050 graphics card. The 16″ screen is an LCD with a 16:10 ratio and Lenovo calls a “2k -resolution’. It is probably 2560×1600 pixels, as Lenovo uses in more 16” laptops. Optionally, a 120Hz variant is available. The maximum brightness is 500cd/m².

The 16″ laptop is 17.4mm thick and weighs 2.1kg. It contains a 75Wh battery and would be good for 12.5 hours of use. The housing has three USB ports, two Type-A and one Type -C. There is also an SD card reader on the laptop.This model will also be released in the US in October, for a starting price of USD 1449. Converted with VAT, that is about EUR 1480.
