Valve has changed the rules for organizing CS2 tournaments. Updated information has been published on GitHub.
The main change was the removal of the stage names Contenders, Challengers and Legends. Now the stages will be called Opening, Elimination and Playoffs, respectively. However, the format of each stage remained unchanged. Seeding for tournaments and qualifiers will depend on regional ranking tables.
Valve previously updated the regional rankings of CS2 teams. In Europe, MOUZ remained the leader, in America – Complexity Gaming, and in Asia – Lynn Vision Gaming.
