JAKARTA – Auric Digital Pte Ltd officially became the new controlling shareholder of PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF). Auric officially became the controlling shareholder of LPPF as of July 14, 2021.
Corporate Secretary & Legal Director of Matahari Department Store, Miranti Hadisusilo said, in accordance with Financial Services Authority Regulation No.9/POJK.04/2018 (POJK 9/2018), Auric announced that they had become the new controlling shareholder of the Company since July 14, 2021. .
“Whereas as a result of the voluntary tender offer (VTO), Auric currently owns 840,776,696 shares of the Company or equivalent to 32 percent of the total issued and paid-up capital of the Company,” said Miranti as quoted from IDX information disclosure, Friday (16/7/ 2021).
Miranti added, on May 5, 2021, Auric Digital issued a voluntary tender offer statement to the Shareholders of the Company to purchase the Company’s shares, with the offer period starting from June 4, 2021 until July 3, 2021.
Before Auric became the controlling entity of the Company, the Company did not have a party that either directly or indirectly controlled the Company in accordance with POJK 9/2018.
“Therefore, Auric has no affiliation with the previous controlling party of the Company,” he said.
