Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister Habib told CNN that the government is cooperating with Hezbollah and other Palestinian organizations to prevent war, and also hopes that the United States will pressure Israel not to start a war.

Hezbollah leader Nasrallah recently said that all scenarios are possible on the Lebanese-Israeli border, warning Israel not to further escalate its actions on the Lebanese border and calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. Lebanon’s foreign minister said Israel was provoking Lebanon every day and said he believed Hezbollah did not want war.

The BBC reported, citing Lebanese sources, that Israel launched an airstrike on a car on Sunday, killing four civilians. Israeli military spokesman Hagari did not respond directly, but said the Israel Defense Forces attacked Hezbollah terrorist targets in southern Lebanon in response to the launch of anti-tank missiles that killed an Israeli citizen. Hagari said the IDF carried out numerous attacks on terrorist infrastructure as well as the vehicles they were driving.
