Before the start of the match, the Brazilians were the strong favorites. The Polish national team has so far managed to accumulate 10 points in the volleyball competition of the League of Nations and are in the 11th place. The rivals are in the upper part of the table.
Jacek Nawrocki’s players did not start this match well and the Brazilian representatives quickly took the four-point lead. Initially, the Poles managed to even out the course of the match, but the rivals broke up again and led to the result of 10:18.
Polish women sped up a bit in the end and the match became much tighter. They managed to defend two set balls, and after a while Magdalena Stysiak showed off with two service aces in a row and it was already 22:24.
The attacker, however, made a mistake with the next service and crossed the service line, and the set fell prey to rivals.

The course of the second game was a bit more even, although at the beginning the rivals of the Polish women started to take the advantage again. Nawrocki’s players, however, did not allow themselves to be completely pushed to the defensive and reduced the advantage of the Brazilians from six to four points. However, in the end they played nervously again and did not manage to compensate for this loss. Ultimately, they lost the second set to 20.
The start of the third game was even. The Brazilians took the lead slightly, but the Polish women compensated for the loss and were leading for the first time in the entire match. However, it was not a high lead, because at the first technical break, the difference between the two teams was only a point. The result was close to a draw.
Polish women played calmly. They looked good in attack and in service. Immediately after the second technical break they were leading by 17:14. The Brazilians closed the loss to a point.
Jacek Nawrocki’s team had a minimal advantage for a long time. Ultimately, however, it was the Brazilians who tipped the scales to their advantage. First they equalized at 19:19. Moments later they were leading by 21:20. They already used the first match ball at 24:23 and sealed the victory 3-0.
