Lavrov advised the West to come to terms with the “new geopolitical realities”

Sergei Lavrov

Attempts by the “collective West” to interfere with the natural course of history, to solve their problems at the expense of others, are doomed, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian “special operation” in Ukraine frees the world from the neo-colonial oppression of the West. He made such a statement in an interview with the Chinese Xinhua news agency, the transcript of the conversation on Saturday, April 30, was published by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to Lavrov, the so-called “special military operation” unleashed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine “contributes to the process of freeing the world from the neo-colonial oppression of the West, implicated in racism and an exclusiveness complex.”

At the same time, Lavrov said that the attempts of the “collective West” to interfere with the natural course of history, to solve their problems at the expense of others, are doomed.

“Everyone has a real freedom of choice, including ways of development and participation in integration projects,” Lavrov said, referring to the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Therefore, according to Lavrov, the sooner the West comes to terms with the new geopolitical realities, the better it will be for itself and for the entire international community.

Lavrov also stated that the Russian side discusses daily with the Ukrainian issues of “denazification”, “recognition of new geopolitical realities”, the status of the Russian language and the lifting of sanctions.

Previously it was reported that the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia has slowed down after information about the atrocities of the Russian military in the Kyiv region and the desire of the Kremlin to intensify hostilities in the Donbass.
