As part of the investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on the allegations that FETÖ members made the transition from police officers to deputy commissioners in 2009, before the exam, they made irregularities, detention orders were made against 467 suspects.

Thereupon, simultaneous operations were initiated in 67 provinces under the coordination of the Directorate General of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM). In the operation organized within the scope of the investigation by the Ankara Police Department’s Fight Against Financial Crimes Branch Directorate teams, 8 out of 13 suspects were detained. Detention operations continue in operations in other provinces.

On the other hand, 29 of the 44 confidential suspects were detained in the investigation into the FETO structuring in the Land Forces. According to the information received by the AA reporter, an arrest warrant was issued against the 44 suspects, including officers and non-commissioned officers, and 2 confidential imams, who were in active duty by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office for the FETO structuring at the Land Forces Command.

The Ankara Police Department’s Anti-Terrorism Branch teams, who took action, detained 29 suspects through simultaneous operations. It was learned that 20 of the officers and non-commissioned officers detained under the operation were on active duty.
