Commenting on the selected program, the director of the festival Tīna Lokk admits that this year has been special: “This year with its falls and ups and downs will definitely be recorded in our memory. We also felt the impression of a global pandemic And even more pleasant was our surprise when we started receiving film applications from authors again after the summer solstice, this year’s competition program will be remembered with the most difficult selection process, because we received a lot of really good applications, it was extremely unfortunate to give up a number of amazing films. I am really excited about this year’s program, which could be described as a proof of author’s cinema, so this program is likely to provoke a variety of discussions and opinions, but it is actually a good cinematic task, and there are personalities that can be called “festival friends ”and their company will be perfectly complemented by new talent.”
