At the test street, the king was given an explanation of the working method from the GGD and spoke with employees who carry out the tests. Willem-Alexander spoke to two source and contact researchers at the GGD office about the dilemmas they face when they have to approach people who have tested positive for the corona virus.
In the event of a positive result, the researchers, together with the person concerned, map out the contacts and advise on the following measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, such as isolation or quarantine. Information is also given about the possible course of the disease and any follow-up steps people should take, the king was told.
Inform about corona crisis
At the end of the working visit, the king had a conversation with several GGD doctors about the process of testing, tracing, informing and reporting, the capacity and the criteria for scaling up and down. With these kinds of conversations, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima inform themselves about the consequences of the corona crisis and the use of measures to combat the virus.
