“All we really know is that there will be no football until April 6,” said Spee. “We approach it as an association in steps, because we have no idea what the situation is around the virus.”
Scenarios KNVB
The KNVB has developed a number of scenarios. “The first is: we play the competition, with the audience. The next scenario is playing out, but partly without the audience.”
Spee continues: “If that doesn’t work either, you will end up in a situation where you have to cancel matches. You have to do that intelligently, because then you will change rules while the game is already in progress. Those are complicated questions.”
