A gun attack overshadowed a wedding in Afghanistan. At least two people were killed and 10 were injured, BNT reported.
The men, who stormed the party, introduced themselves as the Taliban and demanded that the music be stopped. After the celebrants disobeyed, the unknown began smashing the speakers and shooting at the guests.
Two of the three attackers have been detained. A Taliban spokesman denied the men acted on behalf of the Islamic movement. According to eyewitnesses, the wedding was for several couples and they had permission from the local Taliban leader to play music in the women’s rooms.
In the period 1996-2001, during the previous rule of the radical group, music was banned. The new authorities did not issue such an order.
