A federal judge issued arrest warrants against 19 former officials of the then Federal Police, for alleged diversion of resources of 2,500 million pesos during the government of former President Enrique Peña Nieto, judicial sources confirmed.
Among the former public servants involved are Frida Martínez Zamora, former secretary general of the Federal Police, and the former secretary of Capital Citizen Security, Jesús Orta.
Of the 19 arrest warrants granted by a judge to the FGR in the case of the diversion of more than 2,500 million pesos from the Federal Police, the one for Frida Martinez and that of Jesús Orta stands out, both would already be considered fugitives

The alleged network of diversions occurred through the purchase of airplanes, helicopters and patrols at surcharges, as well as simulations in the acquisition of these aircraft.
In the first report of the Federal Public Security Secretariat, In explaining the extinction of the Federal Police, to transfer its resources to the National Guard, the agency said it had detected irregularities, which were notified to the Ministry of Public Function.
Among the irregularities, the authorities pointed to an investigation into “embezzlement that represents more than 2 billion pesos”.
“It has been possible to identify a complex scheme of systemic corruption that has affected security and intelligence areas of the country,” says the report.
