A month has passed since the death of her beloved Libuše Šafránková, but for her loved ones it is a sadness that will persist in them for a very long time. Especially for her husband Josef Abrham. He now even refuses to be in the apartment where he and Libuška lived together because of grief and sadness.
Josef Abrhám and Libuše Šafránková spent almost fifty years together. Their marriage was stable, loving, and they were both a great support to each other. They were considered one of the most stable couples in Czech show business. But then the cruel hand of fate struck. Libuše Šafránková died on June 9. For Josef Abrham, who has stood by her side for almost half a century, it must be an incredibly deep blow. Although he has the support of his loved ones, especially his son Josef and Libuška’s sister Miroslava, it is clear that he does not recover from the tragic loss.
He doesn’t want to be in their apartment
Josef Abrhám suffers greatly from the death of his wife. And maybe that’s why he didn’t want to stay in the apartment where they lived together for several years. Everything would only remind him of his beloved Libuška and deepen the already very sensitive blow.
As the Slovak website states pluska.sk, Josef Abrhám left Prague for Mass and the placement of his wife’s remains in their native Šlapanice. And according to the mentioned source, he stayed there for a while. At the same time, the website stated that everyone was afraid of Abrham’s psyche, but in the end it turned out that he managed the situation much better in Šlapanice than in Prague.
Two ceremonies
On Friday, June 25, fans of the actress had the opportunity to say goodbye to her properly. In the church of St. Anežka in Prague in Spořilov took a public farewell to the film Cinderella and a few hours later the funeral itself, which, however, was attended only by guests.
A week later, a funeral mass and the storage of the remains took place in her native Šlapanice, where the actress was buried in the grave of her parents. Josef Abrhám was a little frightened by the public, both in the photos from the funeral and from the funeral mass. His health problems have been known for a long time, but according to the pictures, it is clear that his condition is more serious than everyone thought. The actor looked very shabby and sat in a wheelchair.
