Jokowi Secures Coldplay Tickets, Sandiaga Works on 2-Day Concert Plan

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) made sure to watch the concert band Coldplay at GBK, Jakarta. Jokowi admitted that he had obtained concert tickets Coldplay.

“Watch it,” said Jokowi at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/6/2023). Jokowi was asked about the Coldplay concert.

“Because you already got the ticket, Argentina was just earlier,” Jokowi continued.

As is known, the public’s enthusiasm for watching Coldplay is very high. Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno previously said he would try to hold Coldplay’s concert in Indonesia for 2 days.

“It’s still being worked on (2-day Coldplay concert), because in less than a minute, 1.5 million Indonesians registered at website,” said Sandiaga after attending an event at the Darul Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School with PPP, Friday (19/5).

He said the enthusiasm of the people showed Indonesia’s economic strength. “And this shows the strength of our economy,” he continued.

Sandiaga then conveyed about the capacity of the audience at Istora Senayan which was not comparable to the number of residents who wanted to watch the Coldplay concert. He said the capacity of the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) is only for 80 thousand people.

“We are working on it because the capacity (Gelora Bung Karno) is only 80 thousand. So 1.5 million means that almost a month will not run out if for example we hold a concert (Coldplay) every day,” said Sandiaga.

Sandi hopes that the public will be patient in waiting for the efforts made by his party. He made sure all parties intervened to ensure safety and comfort when the Coldplay concert took place.

“So the hope is that we are all patient, we prepare well and ensure that all input from the coordinating parties, especially the National Police’s security team, goes smoothly so God willing, it will bring blessings,” he added.
