Jennifer Lopez Announces New Album | free press

It’s been eight years since “AKA”. Now Jennifer Lopez has announced a new album, which is expected to be released in 2023.

The Angels.

Exactly twenty years after the release of her album This Is Me… Then, Jennifer Lopez has announced a follow-up album. “This Is Me… Now” contains 13 songs and is scheduled for release in 2023, according to the track listing and a short clip the pop star has released on several social channels published. It would be the musician’s first album since AKA, released in 2014.

In the announcement video, the 53-year-old singer first dons the dress and hat she wore on the cover of her previous album, released in 2002, before transforming into today’s JLo with flowing hair. There is also a reference to “This Is Me … Then” in the song titles: one song is titled “Dear Ben pt. II” in reference to “Dear Ben”. However, there doesn’t seem to be a second part to ‘Jenny From the Block’.

In an interview with fashion magazine Vogue this month, Lopez said: ‘People think they know what happened to me along the way, the men I’ve been with, but in reality they have no idea and often figure it out. so bad”. There’s a part of her that hides something from everyone. “And I feel like I’ve finally come to a point in my life where I can say something about it.”

In 2002, like today, the musician was in a relationship with actor Ben Affleck. The couple separated in January 2004 and called off their engagement. In July 2022, Lopez and Affleck were married in Las Vegas and in August in a larger ceremony at Affleck’s Georgia estate. The singer then signed her newsletter “On the JLo” with the name Jennifer Lynn Affleck. (dpa)
