Italy goes from green to orange, the recent figures show ECDC.

This means quarantine when entering Norway.

Italy has 77 cases per 100,000 in the last 14 days.

Austria has 51 cases per 100,000, and is over the limit of 50. But since they test so many, the limit is different. Read more about this further down in the case.

An earlier version of this article stated that Austria would also become orange.

The government will update the rules for entry into Norway tomorrow, Friday. The new rules will then apply from midnight, night to Monday.

Countries that come under stricter restrictions are updated every week, while countries that receive relief are updated every two weeks.

Exception

If you are fully vaccinated, do not quarantine at all.

If you have protected status, you can serve the quarantine period in a suitable place. (for example, if you have received one dose of vaccine).

Minors must also not serve the quarantine period at a quarantine hotel.

Here you can read more information from the authorities about exemptions from quarantine hotels and about who is considered protected.

Here is the rules that apply until Monday.

Boundaries

The limits for losing the green color are linked to how many infected countries have registered in the last fourteen days. This number is distributed by population. Specifically, the number of infected in the last two weeks per hundred thousand inhabitants.

One limit goes at 50 infected. Another limit goes at 75 infected. The reason why there are two limits is because the proportion of positive samples is also included in the assessment.

If during the last two weeks on average between one and 4 per cent of the samples return positive, then a country is green until it reaches 50 cases of infection.

If the average of the samples in the last fourteen days is less than one percent, then the green color does not fade until the number of infected has reached 75.

CHANGED COLORS: This is what the ECDC map looks like. Although some parts of Italy here are green, Italy as a whole will be orange when FHI comes with its map on Friday.
