Israeli television showed “lynching” of an Arab man live

The shocking images show how a man is pulled out of his car, before he is knocked unconscious by an angry mob. The attack was broadcast on the state television channel Kan and took place in Bat Yam, just south of Tel Aviv.

It took police and ambulance personnel fifteen minutes to arrive at the scene. Meanwhile, the man lay motionless on his back in the middle of the road.

Members of the mob justified the attack by saying that the man was Arab, and claimed he had increased to hit the far-right Israelis with his car. However, the photos show how the man tried to drive away from the ongoing demonstration, before he was pulled out of the car.

The victim after the lynching is seriously injured, but the condition is stable, says a hospital in Tel Aviv in a statement according to France24.

Signs of civil war

Right-wing politician Betzalel Smotrich says he is “ashamed” of the “extreme evil” shown during the attack.

– My Jewish brothers, stop! Under no circumstances can we allow ourselves to take part in violent acts, urges the politician, who leads the Party of Religious Zionism.

The country’s leading rabbi, Yitzhak Yossef, also called on the Israelis to stop the violence.

– Innocent people are attacked by terrorist organizations, it hurts and the images are strong, but we can not be provoked and respond with violence, Yossef encourages.
